A coalition under the aegis of the Grassroots Bridge Builders Foundation (GBBF) and the Global Integrity Crusade Network (GICN) has called on Hon. Anthony A. to step forward and provide a new direction for the people of Zone C, Benue South, ahead of the 2027 elections.

The groups said the 2027 political season presents an opportunity for the people of the zone to demand leadership anchored on competence, compassion, opportunity and measurable development.

In a statement, the coalition said Benue South needed leadership that would move beyond promises to address the practical challenges confronting communities, particularly senior citizens, youths, women and grassroots entrepreneurs.

According to the groups, senior citizens deserve leadership that listens to their concerns and works to improve their quality of life, while young people should be treated as a critical investment in the future through skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, employment, technology and enterprise development.

The coalition urged Anthony to “step in” and bridge the development gap, strengthen the voice of senior citizens, create opportunities for youths, support women and grassroots businesses, and attract projects and partnerships capable of producing visible results across the zone.

It said the proposed partnership between GBBF and GICN was aimed at promoting a people-centred development model through community mobilisation, identification of genuine needs, skills development, accountability advocacy and efforts to attract interventions that could translate into tangible projects.
The groups described Anthony as a potential

“bridge” between government and the grassroots, youths and opportunities, senior citizens and dignity, as well as investors, development partners and local communities.

They stressed that the people of Zone C should be able to identify physical projects, empowered families, thriving businesses, skilled youths and improved communities as evidence of effective representation.

The coalition declared that the 2027 election should be about performance and measurable impact rather than politics without results.

It therefore urged the people of Benue South to support a new generation of leadership committed to service, delivery and lasting development.

“Anthony, Zone C is calling. Step in. Bridge the gap. Build the people. Deliver the projects. Create the opportunities,” the groups said.

The coalition summed up its message with the theme: “2027: From promises to performance. From representation to real impact. From political participation to people-centred development.”
